CAMPOS

This series explores the creation of imagined physical geographies. It borrows the word Campo (“field” in Spanish) to illustrate our desire to alter existing environments. These works incorporate overlapping color planes that evolve into “new identities” that address space, place, individualism, and containment.

Most of these works were created during a 2017 Artist in Residence at Kala Art Institute in Berkeley, California, and incorporate mixed media printmaking techniques on BFK Rives paper.
