These works are created and used as visual notes. They do not attempt to articulate a point of view, rather, they are used as a vehicle for thought and contemplation. For example, Meditation 1 and 2 were created during the 2018 California wildfires. Here, scorched earth gives way to new color and new growth, exemplifying the temporal qualities of place.

These works are intended to invoke tapestries that, in some cases, cross into the sphere of allegorical poetry. They invite the viewer to see beyond the limitations of the physical.
